Here is a project that combines research, computing and art. A team of researchers studied and analyzed 346 works by Rembrandt to produce a software, based on an algorithm able to paint faces and human models, which is able to reproduce the style, the composition, the geometric proportions and the materials used by the Dutch painter.

The project was presented to the public on April 9, 2016 in the Museum of Rembrandt’s house in Amsterdam, where was exposed an example of picture realized by this software and printed on canvas in three dimensions, as if it were a “new” picture of the painter.
